Therapy begins with a first contact and a first meeting to get to know each other. Below is a general description of these first steps.
First contact
You get in touch by phone, Viber or email. A short message is enough; more personal matters are discussed in the session. You arrange a time within office hours and whether the session will be in person or online.
The first session
- Getting to know each other: who the therapist is and how she works
- What brings you: you talk about what is on your mind, at your own pace
- Agreeing how to work together: whether and how to continue, and what you would like to explore
- Questions: you can ask anything you want about the process
Confidentiality
What is discussed in sessions is confidential, as set out in Greek law (Law 991/1979) and the Code of Ethics for Psychologists.
In person or online
Sessions take place either at the office, Pylou 20 & Riga Feraiou 68, Kamatero (Gerovouno), or online. You can choose what fits your daily life.
If you are in crisis
The office is not an emergency service. In a crisis, call the suicide prevention helpline 1018 (Greece) or the European emergency number 112.
To arrange an appointment or ask a first question, you can call, send a Viber message or email.
